Acton Fourth of July, 2009

To some this may seem strange.

To others this may seems strange. (don't worry, guns not loaded. It's just a Shot Gun Wedding down main street)

But this is just a normal, everyday, run of the mill annual July 4th Acton parade.
It's interesting, we the residents of Acton get excited over this.

We park our RV's, trucks, trailers, chairs, awnings... you name, it on the side of Crown Valley Rd. as early as five days prior to this AMAZING event. We have to save the best spots. We need to make sure we have shade and that we can get in and out of the spot easily.
Here are some random shots of our little group enjoying the sights.

Shawn, Maegan and Xui Xui Rennie.

Ticus and his Grand Daughter, Shane.

Dena having a silly string & water fight with he Grand Daughter, Ryley.

Devin and her daughter, Shane. (not two Shane's just two different poses)

Robyn Barrager and her friend Bryan. Cute, huh?
Robyn has spent many a July 4th as not a spectator but a participator. She has ridden her horses in them before. I asked her if she missed not riding today, "No way!" was her response.

Maegan, Shawn and John.

This is a snippet of some of my favorite parts.

Tahachapi Mountain Pipes and Drums

Super patriotic

My neighbor's son-in-law and Grandson. He was probably conceived on horseback. (eeew, sorry)

Who's his hairdresser. I need her number.

Another look at this amazing mane. Beautiful.

OK I will stop. I actually have lots more pictures. But I don't want to bore you. I really do recommend having you all over for the next fourth. It is a great time had by all.
BYE BYE!!

It's over...go home.
